TILP Regional Chapters

TILP’s main objective is to develop professionalism in the industry globally. TILP therefore needs a strong presence in different regions of the world. TILP appoints Regional Coordinators for the duration of one year.

The regional coordinators will, on behalf of TILP and in coordination with its Council and CEO:

  • Initiate and monitor regional online discussion using a TILP monitored YAHOO discussion group.
  • Prepare material for the regional TILP News section (in English and regional language(s)) on www.tilponline.org, in coordination with the TILP webmaster.
  • Draw up an annual schedule of activities and publish this in the TILP diary on www.tilponline.org.
  • Maintain contact with relevant companies and universities in the region and document these contacts. Coordinate the distribution of TILP material to these contacts with the TILP CEO (e.g. Localisation Focus).
  • Encourage localisation professionals and students studying relevant courses to join TILP.
  • Provide an in-depth article of regional interest to Localisation Focus at least once a year.

Should you be based in a region listed and would like to become involved as a regional coordinator, please contact TILPRegions@tilponline.org.
