    CLP Online and Onsite Courses

The CLP Level 1 Online modules will begin on the April 5 2010. Online material is made available at least 6 weeks before each onsite course begins.
This course will provide participants with an introduction to the most important concepts in Software Localisation and Internationalisation, as well as providing a skills foundation that will be applicable in the industry.

The courses consist of a combination of ten self-learning online modules and a four-day onsite intensive training and examinations session. All successful participants will receive TILP Level 1 CLP Certification.

Onsite courses will take place in a number of locations around the world between May and December.

These CLP Online and Onsite training courses have been designed from the ground up by experts from both industry and academia. Each of the 10 online modules consists of either three of four presentations accompanied by a reader document that expands upon the points in the presentation. A reading list is provided for each module so that students can find more background material on the topic and a self-assessment test allows students to test their knowledge on what they have just learned.

A number of modules also contain demo files and hands-on exercises which can be completed to provide the participant with experience in dealing with the files and tools used in specific areas of localisation.

These are entry-level courses aimed at beginners and those who are interested in learning about the work, the processes and the tools and technologies used in this fast paced and innovative industry.
